Write for us

Thoughtful Ventures welcomes considered pitches about the choices involved in independent work and the life around it. We are interested in clear, original ideas that help readers think through purpose, boundaries, work rhythms, transitions or reflection without promising a universal formula.

What to pitch

Send a focused proposal for an evergreen article, not a finished sales pitch for a product or service. A strong idea names the reader’s question, explains the central point and shows what the piece would add beyond familiar advice. Comparisons, explanations, histories, myth-checks and occasion-specific planning can all work when their scope is clear.

What makes a strong contribution

Use plain language, make distinctions carefully and support factual claims. Be open about uncertainty and avoid presenting personal opinion as proof. We do not seek professional, legal, tax, investment or other regulated advice, nor pieces that depend on readers acting on rules that vary by location.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and any relevant experience or conflicts of interest. A proposal is not a promise of publication; please send the idea rather than an unsolicited full manuscript.
